STAR 2.0 AT CITSCIHELVETIA25 CONFERENCE
June 2025
The STAR 2.0 project was delighted to take part in the CitSciHelvetia25 Conference at the University of Lausanne, held on 5 & 6 June 2025. The Swiss Citizen Science Conference “CitSciHelvetia” was convened for the third time, with this year’s theme ‘Citizen science in action: Collaborations between civil society and academia’.
The event, initiated by the Science et Cité Foundation and supported by the Swiss Academies of Science and University of Lausanne (UNIL), placed a spotlight on the pressing need for collaborative responses to global challenges, ranging from biodiversity loss to climate change and social fragmentation. Within this forum, STAR 2.0 contributed through its partner, the Street Art Museum Amsterdam (SAMA), under the track Knowledge Dynamics Presentations. More

STAR 2.0 FOCUS GROUP: GATHERING INSIGHTS
April 2025
Throughout the first months of 2025, all partners of the STAR 2.0 project conducted national focus groups with youth workers in their respective countries. These sessions - held in Ukraine (online), Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and in Czech Republic - represented a crucial step in the development of the project’s training programme. Designed to evaluate and improve the structure and content of the ten-module course, the focus groups offered a space for dialogue, feedback, and collective reflection. More

INSIGHTS FROM THE STAR 2.0 NATIONAL SURVEYS
March 2025
As part of the STAR 2.0 project, a series of national surveys were conducted in Italy, Ukraine, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. These surveys aimed to assess youth workers’ perspectives on street art, their competencies in using it for community engagement, and the key areas where further training is needed. The findings serve as a preliminary step in shaping the STAR 2.0 online training course, ensuring that the curriculum is aligned with the real needs and challenges faced by youth workers in different countries. FOCUS GROUP WITH YOUTH WORKERS IN AMSTERDAM
November 2024
As part of the STAR 2.0 curriculum, we are developing an online learning environment with ten modules for youth workers. To ensure these modules align perfectly with their needs, we gathered feedback last Monday through a focus group session with youth workers.
During this session, SAMA collected valuable insights on lesson content, structure, organization, and delivery methods. The group consisted of youth workers from Vooruit and Combiwel, who generously set aside their afternoon for this session. More
