Third online meeting for the STAR 2.0 Youth Workers!
On 24 June 2026, youth workers from across the STAR 2.0 partnership met online to reflect on the progress of the project’s pilot activities and prepare for the next stage of implementation.
The meeting was divided into two main sessions. The first focused on exchanging experiences and insights from the ongoing local pilot actions, while the second looked ahead to the upcoming one-week meeting in Lisbon this September, where partners and youth workers will come together to reflect, learn, and plan the next steps of the project.
The session began with a simple but engaging icebreaker: participants were invited to describe their pilot experience using three emojis. The chat quickly became colourful and lively, with 🎉 emojis from those who had already completed their pilot activities, 🚀 from teams experiencing exciting progress, and many others reflecting enthusiasm, curiosity, and satisfaction.
Building on this positive atmosphere, participants explored their experiences in greater depth. Youth workers from the Czech Republic and Italy, whose pilot activities have recently concluded or are reaching their final stages, shared valuable reflections on their local implementation. They openly discussed both the successes and the challenges they encountered, as well as the practical solutions they developed along the way. Their experiences provided useful inspiration for the rest of the consortium, demonstrating how different local contexts can offer transferable ideas and approaches.
Youth workers from Portugal and the Netherlands also contributed to the discussion, expressing their enthusiasm as they prepare to launch their own pilot activities. The exchange highlighted the collaborative spirit of STAR 2.0, where learning from one another is an essential part of the project’s methodology.
The second part of the meeting focused on the upcoming mobility in Lisbon. Through a collaborative online whiteboard, participants reflected on three key questions that will help shape the agenda of the September meeting:
- Learn: What do you need to explore more deeply in Lisbon to help overcome your local challenges?
- Share: Which youth work practices or experiences would you like to share with the rest of the partnership?
- Experience: What cultural, artistic, or team-building experience would you not want to miss during your stay in Lisbon?
The responses generated a rich collection of ideas, expectations, and suggestions that will contribute to designing a great mobility programme. Curious to discover the results? Check out the table below!
The STAR 2.0 partnership is now looking forward to meeting again in Lisbon, where youth workers and partners will have the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the pilot phase, exchange good practices, and continue building a strong European community of practitioners using street art as a tool for inclusion and civic participation.
